SHEPHERD PIE CLASSICAL EASY SIMPLE RECIPE

 Cottage pie or shepherd's pie ia a meat pie with a crust of mash potato

150 gms        Lamb mince

25   gms        Onion

10   gms        Carrot

10   gms        Celery

5     gms        Leeks

50   ml           Brown stock

1     no.          Bay leaf

10   gms        Butter

10   ml           Oil

75   gms        Mash potato

20   gms        Tomato puree

1     no.          Blanch Tomato

seasoning      salt and pepper

METHOD

1. Heat oil in a saucepan and add bay leaf, onion, carrots, leeks, celery and sauté for a min

2. Add lamb and cook till the lamb release juice and become dry

3. Add tomato puree and blanch tomatoes

4. Cook for 5 min and add brown stock

5. Transfer the dish in a baking dish

6. Fill the mash potato in a pipping bag

7. Pipe a layer on top of the lamb and bake at preheat oven at 230 C for 3-4 min

8. Sprinkle some chop parsley
