RED VELVET CAKE BEAUTIFUL AND SIMPLE RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
1. Flour Grams 250
2. Butter Grams 80
3. Egg Number 1
4. Vanilla essence Tsp 1
5. Sugar Grams 150
6. Butter milk Grams 125
7. Tomato cherry red colour Tbsp 2
8. White vinegar Tsp 1
9. Baking soda Tsp ½
10. Baking powder Tsp ¼
FROSTING
11. Cream cheese Grams 200
12. Whipped cream Grams 200
13. Vanilla essence Tsp 1
METHOD
SPONGE
1. Sieve flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt together.
2. Add vinegar to the milk and let it stand for few minutes till it splits.
3. Cream butter and sugar together.
4. Add a part of milk mixture to dry ingredients.
5. Lightly beat the eggs with red food colour.
6. Gradually add the remaining milk mixture and lightly beaten eggs in 3 parts. Mix well after each addition.
7. The finished batter is quite liquidy.
8. Pour the batter in greased and lined cake tin and bake at 180 oC for 20-25 minutes.
9. Cool the cake.
1O. Whip cream cheese and whipped cream separately and mix.
11. Layer the cake with this frosting.
12. Prepare some extra cake, bake it, then crumble it, bake the crumble again to make it crispy. Make fine powder of it and use it as garnish.
